Sandra Jean Lilo hails from Chicago, Illinois and was born into a family full of inspiration!  A prodigy of two extremely hard working parents, Sandra quickly learned that life was hers for the taking.  Giving credit to her Dad as being the biggest influence in her life during her formative years, she fondly recalls him constantly showering her with praise while mentoring her on the use of power tools and the importance of fixing things around the house.  His favorite, and often repeated saying was, “You can be anything you want to be.”

Driven by intensity to succeed, and encouraged by her Dad’s suggestion to pursue dentistry, Sandra soared through High School as a Valedictorian and completed her college education at the University of Illinois. After a mere three years in college, and faced with paying her own way through dental school, Sandra graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in 1982.

With college and dental school complete, Sandra’s need for immediate work, coupled with her unquenchable thirst for adventure, propelled her to join the United States Air Force.  She was stationed in Guam for two years and then transferred to MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.  She loved the area, and upon completing her commitment to the Air Force Sandra decided to call Pinellas County, Florida her home.

The training, experience, and discipline that the military offered was the perfect springboard for Sandra to open her own practice.  Success was immediate, and Sandra Jean Lilo quickly became one of the best “go to” dentists in Pinellas County.  Driven to work twenty-four hours a day, she found the energy to manage a full time practice combined with a myriad of community projects both at home and abroad.  She has served the Greater Seminole Chamber of Commerce for the past 22 years in a variety of capacities, and boasts over two decades as a dedicated Rotarian holding every position from President to past Assistant Governor.  Her international Rotocleft service through Rotary has taken her on the more that 20 missions world-wide coordinating teams to aid 250 plus children with cleft lip and palate reconstructions.

Her energy, expertise, and “get it done” attitude has affected people all over the world!  Sandra has traveled in the name of Rotary for service throughout Canada, Afghanistan, India, Peru, the Bahamas, Ukraine, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Cuba.

“My goal in life is to serve my profession and community.  To give all my patients service with compassion and excellence, regardless of what part of the world I’m in.  We have a lot of gifts in our profession today to make the experience more comfortable that it has ever been before… and for many, pain free.”
